About Lokta Magazine

Lokta Magazine takes after the essence of the Lokta paper, a craft native to Nepal. Lokta paper comes from the Daphne Papyrus plant, found only in the high hills of the Himalayas. Lokta’s identity is strictly Nepali. We hope to capture this very essence of Lokta in our magazine. Lokta Magazine will publish pieces on politics, culture, arts, lifestyle, finance and business, fiction and more in both English and Nepali in Devanagari script. The only requirement is that these pieces relate to Nepal, its people and its diaspora.

Lokta Magazine aims to be non-aligned politically, however opinions from every political ideology are considered for publication.
